Palm Beach Cardiovascular Clinic has provided cardiovascular care and preventive medicine to patient’s in South Florida for over 25 years. The heart clinic is well-known and trusted throughout the community and has been a leader in the delivery of cardiovascular medicine for decades.
In the mid-1980s the world famous physician Dr. Andreas Gruntzig assisted physicians at the clinic and performed the first coronary balloon angioplasty in the State of Florida. In the early 1990s the first electrophysiology lab was built under the directorship of Dr. Gabriel Breuer and the Nuclear Cardiology Division was established under the leadership of Dr. Burt Greenberg. The first intra-coronary stent was placed in the mid 1990s by physicians in the clinic and the first drug eluting coronary stent in the Southeast was placed in 2003 by Dr. Chauncey Crandall.
